<p>It can be divided into two types according to the way the charger works:</p>
<p>Two-stage charging mode: Constant voltage charging is the first step. And the current will gradually reduce with the rise of the voltage. It will be switched to the trickle charge when the energy going up to certain extent; the voltage reaching the setting point.</p>
<p>Three-stage charging mode: The beginning of the charging is the constant current charging, and the constant current charging can supplement the batteries quickly, then switch to the constant voltage charging when the voltage raised. At this time, the energy will be replenished slowly, the voltage continues moving up until to the end point, then the trickle charge will instead the constant voltage charging in order to maintenance the batteries and supply the discharge current.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are three common types of faults for charger: 1: high-voltage fault. 2: low-voltage fault. 3: high-voltage fault and low-voltage fault.</p>
<p>The main indicator of high-voltage fault is that the light does not shine or the light is flashing, and the output voltage is low and unstable; the reason of most low-voltage faults is that the positive and negative of both the charger and battery are reversed. The red light is bright and the green light does not shine. The output is low or close to 0V. When both high-voltage and low-voltage fail, we should check all the diodes, transistors, opto-coupler 4N35, FET, electrolytic capacitors, and integrated circuits before they are connected to power.</p>
<p>Some types of chargers also have a function of anti-reverse, and anti-short-circuit. The principle is different from that described above, its low-voltage circuit voltage is provided by rechargeable batteries, and then there is a diode (anti-reverse). After power supply is started normally, the low-voltage power will be provided by the charger.</p>

<p>The failure mode of battery abroad is almost a single failure of the sulfide, accounting for more than 95%.But in China，it takes 66% for water loss in the failure mode，while water loss with sulfide existing in one battery holds more than 97%.  Failure mode only for sulfide is just under 10%.</p>
